About the Yealink EXP50

A desk phone has only so many line keys. The EXP50 adds a 4.3-inch color screen with 20 physical keys down its sides, each with a two-color light, and 3 lit buttons along the bottom that flip between pages. On a SIP phone each key can be set as a busy lamp field for a colleague’s extension, a speed dial, a transfer, call park, call pickup and more, so a receptionist can watch colleagues’ lines and transfer calls quickly.

It connects to the phone by a USB cable, which Yealink chose for reliable data and fast screen updates, and on SIP phones a second USB port on the back stays available to the phone for a USB headset or call recording to a flash drive. Once a second or third module joins the chain, Yealink requires an external 5 V 2 A power adapter. The stand sets two angles without taking it apart.

  • 60 keys per module

20 physical keys on each of 3 pages, with color icons on the 4.3-inch screen.

  • Up to 180 keys

Chain up to 3 modules on one phone for 180 extra programmable keys.

  • Status at a glance

Each key has a two-color light, so busy lamp field keys show the status of colleagues’ lines.

  • Phone system shortcuts

On SIP phones, keys can be set for BLF, shared lines, speed dial, call park, pickup, transfer and forward.

  • Spare USB port

Passes through to the phone for a USB headset, USB call recording, or a WF40 or WF50 Wi-Fi dongle on a T53.

  • Two-angle stand

Adjusts between two viewing angles without disassembling the stand.

Questions about the Yealink EXP50

Which phones does the Yealink EXP50 work with?
The SIP edition works with the Yealink T53, T53W, T54W, T57W and T58A. The Teams edition works with Yealink T56A, T58A, VP59, MP56, MP58 and MP58-WH Teams phones. Yealink does not list other phones, so check with us before pairing it with anything else.
Does the EXP50 work with a Telnamix hosted phone system or 3CX?
Yes, as the SIP edition attached to a supported Yealink SIP phone such as the T54W. It extends that phone with keys that can be set for busy lamp field, speed dial, call park, call pickup and transfer. Telnamix sells, provisions and supports these phones and modules with our hosted and 3CX phone systems.
How many EXP50 modules can I connect to one phone?
Up to 3, chained one after another, for up to 180 extra keys. With two or three modules, Yealink requires an external 5 V 2 A power adapter, which is not in the box.
What is the difference between the SIP and Teams editions?
Both have the same 4.3-inch screen, 20 keys per page and size; they pair with different phones. The SIP edition attaches to Yealink T5 series SIP phones and its keys take phone system functions such as busy lamp field. The Teams edition attaches to Yealink Teams phones and shows up to 20 contacts per page with presence lights for speed dial and transfer. Ask us if you need the Teams edition.
What is the second USB port for?
Once the module is connected, its spare USB 2.0 port extends the phone. On SIP phones it can take a wired or wireless USB headset, a USB flash drive for call recording, or a WF40 or WF50 Wi-Fi dongle on a T53.
What is the warranty?
Telnamix warranties Yealink hardware for 3 years.
