About the Yealink T46U

The T46U belongs to Yealink’s T4U series. It does not have Wi-Fi or Bluetooth built in; instead its two USB ports let you add exactly what a desk needs. A Yealink WF40 or WF50 dongle adds Wi-Fi, a BT40, BT41 or BT52 dongle adds Bluetooth, and the ports also take USB headsets, a flash drive for call recording, or the EXP43 color expansion module, which offers up to 60 programmable keys.

For call quality, Yealink’s Optima HD voice works with Acoustic Shield and Smart Noise Filtering to keep background noise down. The handset uses a hall switch, which Yealink says makes the phone quieter in use. The stand sets the phone at two angles, and the phone can also be wall mounted.

Questions about the Yealink T46U

Does the Yealink T46U work with a Telnamix hosted phone system or 3CX?
Yes. The T46U is a SIP phone with up to 16 SIP accounts, and it supports zero touch provisioning through Yealink’s RPS service. Telnamix sells, provisions and supports the T46U with our hosted and 3CX phone systems.
Does the T46U have Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?
Not built in. Yealink adds them through USB dongles: the WF40 or WF50 for Wi-Fi, and the BT40, BT41 or BT52 for Bluetooth. If you want both built in, look at the T5 series phones such as the T54W.
Can I add more line keys to the T46U?
Yes. It supports Yealink’s color-screen expansion modules; the EXP43 has a 4.3-inch color screen and up to 60 programmable keys.
Can the T46U be powered over the network cable?
Yes, it supports PoE, so it can run from a PoE network switch without a power adapter on the desk.
What is the warranty?
Telnamix warranties Yealink hardware for 3 years.
